LJO Advisors

A site that matches the reputation

The summary

What we did, and what it moved.

UPWARD built the full website for LJO Advisors around the two audiences Larry O'Toole's firm serves: the health systems bringing him their challenges and the solution providers hoping he will represent them. Each reads its own half of the same proposition, and the through line is the trust in Larry that compresses months of vendor diligence into a conversation. Larry runs the site himself.

The firm

Solutions to the problems hospitals actually have, vetted first

LJO Advisors is Larry O'Toole's firm, built on a career that includes years as a MEDITECH executive and a reputation in that world as good as anyone's. The idea behind it is simple and unusually valuable: gather an array of high-quality solutions to the problems hospitals actually have, vet them first, and put them in front of the people who need them.

The mismatch

The trust was there. The story was not online.

The vetting is the product, and the trust in Larry is what makes it worth anything. None of that was on the internet. There was no website telling the story, which left both sides of the market, the hospitals with problems and the vendors worth representing, to work it out for themselves.

Why UPWARD

Months of diligence, compressed to a conversation

LJO Advisors is really two audiences at once: health systems bringing Larry O'Toole a problem, and solution providers hoping to be represented by him. Neither half of that story existed online at all. UPWARD had to understand both sides of the proposition well enough to give each one its own half of the site, without either reading like an afterthought. The through line is trust. Trust in Larry is what compresses months of vendor diligence into a single conversation. The site had to carry that same trust for people meeting the firm for the first time.

The work

Two audiences, two halves of the same proposition

We built the full website around the two audiences the firm actually serves: the health systems bringing him challenges, and the solution providers hoping to be represented by him. Each needs to understand a different half of the same proposition, and the site is structured so neither has to read the other's half to get there.

The through line is the one that makes the firm work: trust in Larry extends to the products he stands behind, which is what compresses an evaluation cycle from months of vendor diligence into a conversation with someone who has already done it.

The partnership

Larry runs it. UPWARD comes in when something bigger is needed.

Larry runs the site himself, and calls on UPWARD when something bigger is needed.

A conversation

One conversation, with the two of us. No account manager between you and the people who'd do the work. And if you're happy with what you've got, that's fine too.
